Mike is a State and Local Tax Partner at Armanino and leads the Indirect Taxes and Credits & Incentives practices. He advises clients on state and local tax matters related to administrative audits, corporate and personal income, property, sales and use, payroll, and business licenses. While starting with a holistic approach to an organization’s multistate tax considerations, Mike also provides guidance concerning individual jurisdictions. He has extensive experience before California taxing agencies, including the California Franchise Tax Board, the California State Department of Tax and Fee Administration, and the California State Board of Equalization.
A frequent author and speaker on SALT issues, Mike has published in numerous national tax publications and has been invited to speak for various associations. He has also been quoted by national publications including NPR’s Marketplace and Law 360. Before joining Armanino, Mike spent his career in the state and local tax groups at global law firms.

Sharvil brings over 18 years of multistate tax experience including income, franchise, property, and sales tax. Focusing on driving the most value for clients and assisting in services to review, he has negotiated and secured various U.S. federal, state, and local credits and economic incentives. He has served as an expert to companies in multiple industries, including energy, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, aerospace, data centers, telecommunications, technology, and fintech. Over his career, he has helped clients secure over $500M+ in savings through statutory credits and discretionary incentives for income, sales, and payroll taxes and through cash grants or utility savings. Before joining Armanino, Sharvil worked for several Big 4 Accounting Firms.
